Peanuts are legumes and are a healthy addition to the diet of most parrots and complement a diet of fruits and other seeds. They contain more than 25% protein while they are high in mostly unsaturated fats. Peanuts are rich in vitamin B and contains appreciable amounts of calcium, iron, phosphorus, and potassium.
